Valley Scottish Country Dancers

The Valley Scottish Country Dancers live and dance in the Annapolis Valley area of Nova Scotia. Regular dance classes are held on Tuesday evenings, 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. in the Wolfville Legion Hall. Classes are over now for the winter, but come back in September, when we will dance again. Dates for the 2012 fall term are 18 September to 27 November.  We'll take a break in December, and finish off the term with Burns night preparatory dances from 8-22 January.  Winter term 2013 will run 5 February to 7 May. In the meantime, take note of these special events:

Advanced Level Classes

For dancers looking for a bit more of a challenge, Duncan has been looking up a few more advanced level classes for Saturdays nights through the winter and into the spring. Dances will be held on Saturdays as follows at 7:30 - 10:00 p.m. Folks are asked to contribute $5 to help cover costs.

The 2013 Port Williams Burns Supper will happen on Saturday, 26 January 2013.  Tickets will be available on St. Andrews Day (30 November).


Spring Barbecue and Dance, 9 June 2012

Our end of term barbecue and dance on 9th June, at 4 p.m., at 885 Church Street, Port Williams. Pot-luck at the home of Edna McLean (Bring your own entrée to barbecue, and a salad or dessert to share. Please also bring your own plate, bowl, cup, and cutlery to save on clean-up. If you have a lawn chair and/or small folding table, bring them along too.)

Dance follows at 7 p.m. at the St. John's Anglican Church Hall, corner of Church St. and Hwy. #358 (the road running north from Port Williams to Canning). Program is now available.
